Patricia (Peezy) Mullins has been a defense attorney for over 20 years. Her defense practice focused primarily on employment law and health care law. Peezy worked with many employers in defense and investigation of employment matters, in addition to employment policy development, implementation, and training. Peezy worked with health care facilities in ensuring regulatory compliance and in the drafting of contracts, admissions agreements, policy and procedure manuals, and marketing materials that are consistent with applicable federal and state regulations. Peezy regularly provided training to health care employees and management. Peezy also assists individual health care providers on matters of licensure and discipline.
Additionally, Peezy has significant experience in professional and medical malpractice litigation, with an emphasis on nursing home defense. Peezy was named by Missouri Lawyers Weekly as one most powerful health care attorneys in Missouri in 2021. Finally, Peezy has experience representing defendants in a variety of matters, including insurance defense, transportation litigation, general liability and civil litigation.
Peezy is bringing her wealth of defense experience to Bautista LeRoy in order to assist injured parties in a variety of matters, focusing primarily on nursing home litigation. In addition, Peezy will continue to assist a select number of defense clients, including individual health care providers in administrative matters and small health care providers, especially those that support individuals with developmental disabilities.

Peezy has been an adjunct professor for Rockhurst University, where she taught Commercial and Health Care Law courses. Peezy is also a regular speaker for the Missouri League of Nursing. Peezy is active in the DRI Women in the Law and Employment Law committees. Peezy is rated “AV Preeminent,” Martindale Hubbell's highest peer review rating for ethical standards and legal ability. Peezy has also been regularly recognized by her peers as a Super Lawyer in civil litigation, as published by American Lawyer Media and Kansas City Magazine.
